White Box Archaeology: The Gygax Legendarium

I’d like to share my discovery of the “Gygax Legendarium” project on Grendelwulf’s “Axe & Hammer” blog. This long series of blog posts looks at Gygax’s early gaming work, from OD&D to board games. (I actually owned a copy of the “Alexander the Great” board game when I was younger, and I never knew that it was designed by Gary!) The assorted posts at the Legendarium include analyses of Gygax’s published work from Guidon Games and TSR and links to letters and articles he wrote for old wargame newsletters and zines.

There are some real gems in here, such as a discussion of Rob Kuntz’s unpublished OD&D supplement, Kalibruhn. Anyone with a strong interest in OD&D should give the Legendarium posts a thorough read!
